The Arrows looked to have sealed the title when Abigail Wilson cracked the ball into the net after a Queensland error in the circle to go up 7-3 but the Scorchers got back to 7-6 with a minute-and-a-half remaining.
But the Arrows defence held firm to claim the silverware in the final edition of the tournament in it’s current format, 7-6.
Morgan was a rock in defence for the Arrows, who won bronze last year and had beaten Victoria 4-3 in their semi-final on Saturday.
They were never behind in the final.
Mariah Williams put them ahead five minutes into the game with a nice finish, and nailed the conversion for a 2-nil lead.
Queensland hit back with two minutes to go in the first quarter to tie up the scores at the break.
Arrows captain Emily Smith weaved her way through the Scorchers defence and fed the ball through to Greta Hayes to restore the NSW sides advantage late in the second quarter and they never relinquished the lead from there.
