The release of the 2019 NRL draw on Thursday confirmed the Wests Tigers would return to Scully Park on April 27.
The Tigers will take on the Gold Coast Titans at 5.30pm in the round seven clash.
The fixture comes after Wests clashed with the Newcastle Knights this year.
Group 4 chairman Ray McCoy said: “What wonderful news for all rugby league supporters.
“With the success of the Tigers versus Newcastle NRL game at Tamworth in 2018, it's great to see the Tigers returning to Tamworth's Scully Park in 2019 to do battle with the Titans.
“By taking NRL games to NSW regional centres, they provide a great opportunity for all rugby league supporters, young and old and male and female alike, to embrace the game at it's highest level and share in the excitement of game day and a chance to see their favourite players in action.”
Asked if Tamworth could be an annual home of an NRL match, McCoy said it was a “year to year proposition”.
“But if our region keeps supporting the events, I’m sure it will continue,” he said. “This is exactly what Scully Park was developed for.”
McCoy said he was “looking forward” to the Tigers and the Titans’ interaction with “our local junior and senior league players and the game’s supporters”.
“And I feel sure that our local and regional rugby league supporters will support the event, and once again guarantee another record crowd attendance,” he added.
The Tigers-Knights game was labelled a great success by Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe.

The game itself didn’t turn out the way the Tigers would have liked.
While it was a thriller of a game, the Knights scored a last-ditch 22-20.
Down 20-18 with less than two minutes left, Kenny-Dowall leapt high to pull in a Jamie Buhrer cross-kick to dive over in the corner for a memorable victory.
Kenny-Dowall had earlier spilled a Tigers bomb to gift the opposition a try but more than made amends with his heroic effort at the death.
Buhrer, who found himself in the unfamiliar role of playmaker late in the game, provided the pinpoint kick after Pearce was assisted from the field.
The Knights scored five tries to three.
