A WOMAN has escaped injury after she lost control in the wet conditions and crashed her car in Tamworth’s CBD.

The driver, aged in her 20s, was treated for shock and shoulder pain after the Ford sedan left Bridge Street and mounted the kerb before crashing into a metal guard rail.
The woman was assessed and treated at the scene by paramedics, but was not taken to hospital.
Police said she would be issued an infringement notice.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old woman and a young child have been taken to hospital after a two car crash near Tamworth.

About 8.20pm, a car collided with a stationary vehicle on Werris Creek Road at Duri.
The woman was treated for a suspected spinal injury and was taken by ambulance to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
A spokesperson said the four-year-old child was not injured but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A second adult was assessed by ambulance at the scene but was cleared of any injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said.
