To encourage people to get into the spirit, the You Matter event will allow people to not only share their experiences connected to mental health.
They will also be able to share in games of giant chess, music, craft, “food for thought” and mindfulness.
Tamworth Regional Youth Council will host the free event in Fitzroy Plaza, Tamworth, on Monday from 10am to 1pm.

Oliver Keft-Gill said the 12 council members, of whom he is one, wanted to raise awareness among local youth of the importance of good mental health.
“The ‘You Matter’ concept came together after several of the council members being affected by mental health, either themselves or through their loved ones,” he said.
“We want to shine a light on the effects of poor mental health on young people.
“We see the need to offer a safe and supportive space where youth can confidently connect with youth mental health services.”
Tamworth Regional Council youth services team leader Kate Allwell praised the youth council members for their efforts.
“Drawing on their personal experiences to identify areas of need, and then following through with ideas to make a change, is so rewarding to not just the council members but the whole community,” she said.
The Hunter New England Youth Mental Health team, Youth InSearch and Headspace will join in on the day to share their knowledge and experiences with mental health and well-being matters.
The youth council was set up in early 2017 for people aged between 15 and 18 years to meet monthly, have a voice on issues that affect them and identify ways to make positive change in the community.
Mental Health Month, held in NSW in October, highlights the importance of early intervention in, and reducing the stigma associated with, mental health.
