A TEENAGER charged with possession of child abuse material has fronted Tamworth Children’s Court on Wednesday.

The juvenile, who cannot be named, was arrested when Oxley Police District detectives received information that child exploitation material had been uploaded to social media.
Police seized mobile phones, external storage devices and tablets from a Quirindi home for forensic examination.
A BB gun and sling shot were also seized.
After extensive analysis a 17-year-old youth was arrested on Monday and remained in custody.

He was granted bail and is due to return to court on October 16.
