Both teams were minor premiers and with the grand final wins were also named club champions.
Cougars won B Grade won 4-3 after a revert. They were on top with seven runs but the bottom of the inning wasn’t played out before time was called the so the score was reverted back to 4-3.

Coach Ben Ridgewell,15, pitched all six innings and struck out 10 batters. Brothers Hayden and Coen Hopwood-Young and Brian Hopton were the lead hitters.
Lead hitters for Armidale were Ollie Grimble and Jason Godwin. Sam McKay started on the mound and then Jeremy Bird relieved in the fourth inning.
It was a hard-fought game in A grade. Kris Bird started on the mound for Cougars and then relief pitcher Brock Ridgewell ended the game. Armidale were up 6-2 until the seventh inning when Cougars fought back with a mammoth 12 hits and eight runners across home plate.
They held off the Outlaws in the eighth inning before bringing another three home. The final innings saw the Cougars shut down the Outlaws to secure a 13-6. Each of the Cougars had at least one hit each, with Bird and Ridgewell leading the way with four hits apiece. It was brilliant end to the season for Bird who was playing his 30th straight season of baseball in Tamworth.
Coen Hopwood-Young (Cougars) was the B grade MVP. Mick Alldis (Armidale) – who is heading home to Geelong – was the A Grade MVP. Sam McKay (Armidale) was the rookie of the year and Brock Ridgewell (Cougars) was the A Grade Grand final MVP.
