POLICE are hunting two men who broken into a home and stole a ute, before dumping it in Tamworth.

Officers say they have identified one of the males involved in the break, enter and steal in The Heights area about midnight on Tuesday.
Police were called to reports of two males seen in the yard of a home in the street, attempting to break-in to the house.
The pair fled down the street, and shortly after, broke into another home, stole cash and other items including keys to a Ford Ranger.
Officers, who were in the street, were alerted after hearing a car alarm sounding and challenged the males, who were in the stolen car, ordering the offender to open the driver’s door.
The pair refused, and sped off. The Ranger was later found abandoned in Hamilton Circuit in Coledale.
Police were searching for the pair on Wednesday, a spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, officers are examining CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses after a business was broken into in the Tamworth CBD.
Between 3.50 and 4.15am on Tuesday, offenders forced their way in through a ground floor window of the business at the playground-end of Kable Avenue.
Inside they stole a small amount of property.
Officers are also investigating after witnesses reported seeing people flee a stolen vehicle found dumped in East Tamworth.
Police were alerted to the white Ford Falcon sedan about 8.50am on Tuesday, after it was abandoned in Bourke Street.
Following investigations, the vehicle was reported stolen from a property in nearby Carthage Street.
Police have been told “parties were seen exiting the vehicle” and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact Tamworth police on 6768 2999.
