First time attendees won’t be disappointed, with dogs jumping through hoops to impress publicity officer Rachel Devenish-Meares said.
“This is the premiere event that we hold for the year, it’s our national event,” she said.
“There will be a variety of dogs on show of all different shapes and sizes, doing jumps, tunnels, weaving through poles, A-frames and seasaws.
“You’ll see very fast dogs, some of the best in the country will be on show.”
More than 250 dogs will compete, with owners quite competitive about the sport.
Classes run from junior handlers right through to vintage competitors.
There’s even an international judge from the Netherlands Ms Devenish-Meares said.
“Anyone and any dog can do it, but you need to be dedicated to daily training,” she said.

“Most areas will have places to help you train, it’s about being dedicated, putting time in and I’ve never met a dog who doesn’t love to do agility.”
This is the ninth year the event has been held in Tamworth.
The competition begins on September 28 at 1pm, for more information visit adaa.com.au.
