The usual buyers were in attendance with light-weight steers and heifers being the most popular categories on the day.
Gunnedah stock agent Guy Gallen said the heavy cow market was particularly strong.
“Overall the market remained pretty strong and stayed pretty firm on last week,” Mr Gallen said.
“I would say the heavier cows sold really well and saw some pens bring very good money.

Mr Gallen said the results were “reward for effort”.
“It’s pleasing to see those sellers who have hung onto their cows and finshed them be well rewarded,” he said.
“They clearly had a goal in mind, knew the right time to sell and took full advantage of it.”
The Jacob Anderson Partners stock agent said rain in the coming weeks could have a major impact on future markets.
“Fingers crossed we do get a bit of rain in the next couple of weeks,” he said.
“If it happens to rain again in the short term, I think there is a little bit of a light at the end of the tunnel.
“Otherwise we could be struggling.
“Let’s hope this recent rain isn’t a false break in the weather and we do see some rain come.”
