A MAN has died after after a crash on the Bruxner Highway near Boggabilla, near the NSW/Queensland border.

Emergency services from Goondiwindi and Boggabilla rushed to the scene, about 17km out of Boggabilla, about 8.30am.
They found a car overturned on the side of the road after a head-on collision with a van.
The driver of the car died at the scene. It’s also understood a pet dog was killed in the impact.

The driver of the van was taken to Goondiwindi hospital. His condition is unknown.
The Bruxner Highway is closed in both directions with diversions in place.
Crime scene police as well as detectives are at the scene, examining the area.
The highway is expected to remain closed for much of the day.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
