Instead of facing their second do-or-die clash in as many weeks, the Roos will have the weekend off after news came through that Narrabri had forfeited the match.
Tamworth will now use the weekend to recuperate after a brutal month of footy.

“We’ve got wounded soldiers everywhere. A couple blokes will be able to get over some niggles,” Kangaroos coach Tony Bishop said.
“We played Inverell, Armidale and Gunnedah all in a row and we were short on all those occasions.
“We got bashed around a fair bit to compete in those games and then had, of course, the Swans game after that. For a Swans-Roos encounter, it was more psychical than normal given what was a stake. Both sides were going at it.”
Bishop said it was a “bit relieving” to lock down a spot in the finals.
“All the times I’ve coached them, we’ve competed in finals,” he said.
“It would have been disappointing for the club to miss out but they haven’t.
“So, we’ll train hard next week and keep working on the things we’ve been working on.
”We’re improving every week which knew that’d be the case this year.”
While the players won’t lace up the boots, they’ll still be at No. 1 Oval to support the juniors and women.
The Tamworth Roosters, in the juniors, and the Kangaroos, in the women’s, will be playing Inverell Saints at No. 1 Oval at 11.15am and 1.15pm, respectively.
