Salvation Army rural chaplains and personnel are available to provide financial, emotional and practical support.
Rural chaplain Dianne Lawson says, “The Salvos are providing help through a simple and timely process without the red tape, so farmers can receive the assistance they need to get back on their feet. We just want people to know they are not alone and that it is ok to ask for help.”
One of the most effective ways Australians can rally behind farmers is to donate to The Salvation Army's drought relief efforts.
“Our chaplains and personnel can provide direct financial assistance to farmers, which enables them to recover with dignity and spend the money on the vital items and household expenses they need to survive,” Dianne says.
