A 22-year-old Gunnedah woman has been fined $300 for larceny after police allege she admitted to stealing alcohol from a Gunnedah business.

Police were called to a Conadilly Street business at 8.30pm on Saturday after reports a woman had stolen alcohol.
A police spokesperson said police were quick to review the business’s CCTV footage following the incident.
“After the initial call officers spoke to the business owner who said a woman had stolen alcohol,” the spokesperson said.
“Officers then reviewed the CCTV footage to try and identify the woman responsible.”

The spokesperson said investigations lead police to a 22-year-old Gunnedah woman.
“Once the footage had been reviewed, police caught up with woman a short time after,” the spokesperson said.
“After officers questioned the woman in regards to the incident, she made a full admission to the offence and was fined $300 for larceny.”
