A GOOD Samaritan has led police to goods that were dumped after being stolen during a break-and-enter in East Tamworth.

The Carthage Street home was broken into between 1pm and 11pm on Wednesday while the residents were away.
Police said thieves forced a window to get into the property before stealing a quantity of jewellery and cash including Celtic currency.
Officers were called to the Tamworth Train Station on Thursday morning after a Good Samaritan found the jewellery nearby.
Police scoured the area and found more of the stolen goods dumped near the rail walkway overpass.
