POLICE have found two stolen cars that were dumped after an attempted ram-raid on an ATM in Bingara.

Offenders stole a Toyota Hilux from a Cunningham Street property before using it to ram the town’s Regional Australia Bank ATM in the early hours of Sunday morning.
CCTV captured the attempted ram-raid in Maitland Street about 3.30am, and on Monday investigators were continuing to review the vision and interview witnesses.
New England Detective Inspector Ann Joy said two offenders tried to force the ATM from the wall before a single cab flatbed ute rammed the building.
“Four offenders have unsuccessfully attempted to remove the ATM and and it appears they may have been travelling with a Toyota Hilux towing a trailer,” she said on Monday.
“That vehicle was stolen earlier from Cunningham Street in Bingara.”
The flatbed ute rammed the building several times, damaging both the ATM and the wall.
“Both utes appear to have left the scene shortly after 3.30am,” Detective Inspector Joy said.
“Police recovered the Hilux in the Gilgandra area [at the Old Gulargambone Mission].
“The second vehicle was also recovered burnt out in the Bingara area on Sunday.”

Police said both vehicles and the ATM have been examined by forensic experts as investigators try and find who was behind the unsuccessful ram-raid.
“Investigations are continuing into that offence and police are appealing for any witnesses,” Detective Inspector Joy said.
