Goods such as non-perishable food, hygiene essentials, cleaning products, and even clothes and blankets are still being donated at collection points far and wide.

The hampers are going out in “cold drops” to people’s properties and through Uniting Church Rural Frontiers’ rural chaplain.
The cards came from a fundraiser held during the Berrigan Shire Council by-election this month.

“The Red Cross ran a raffle there and sent $1300 worth of prepaid EFTPOS cards,” Mrs Wilkin said.
“One of the members has family here, so is aware of the drought conditions.”
Coming up next is a barbecue outside Escape Travel in Peel Street, from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
The volunteers are also planning a concert and ute muster for August 11, with more details to come.
