The Hollywood themed ball will see firefighters trade their helmets and hoses for suits and ties as the sounds of hit band Splashpool will ring out across the Blazes Showroom at Wests Leagues Club on July 28.
Fire and Rescue Zone Commander Tom Cooper told Fairfax Media the night was set to be very memorable.
“Our annual ball is always a great event and I have no doubt this year will be just as good,” Commander Cooper said.
“This year the funds raised from the night will go towards helping host the 2019 Australasian Fire and Rescue Championships in Tamworth.
“I know our ball committee have pulled out all the stops and it is promising to be a great night.”
Commander Cooper said the service is eager to get as many people to the event as possible.
“You don’t have to be a firefighter or the family or friend of a firefighter,” he said.
“Everyone is welcome, not just from Tamworth, we would love to see people from across our region come along and enjoy the night.
“Not only will people be supporting us in our efforts to host a world class event next year, but it is also a great opportunity for the community to meet their local firefighters because after all, they are just like everyone else.”

The Zone Commander said preparations for next year’s championships were “well and truly on track”.
“We are fresh off the back of a really well run regional championships in Gunnedah earlier this year, and we are looking to take that momentum forward as a region,” he said.
“Our zone is very active within the championships and I think at this stage we are looking like hosting a world class event.
“At the moment we are in the process of finialising which teams from around Australia and New Zealand will take part, and we are still very hopeful of having development teams from Fiji and the Soloman Islands coming for the event as well.”
Commander Cooper said the Hollywood ball had already received a great deal of community support.
“West Leagues have been fantastic to us so far as one of our major sponsors,” he said.
“Tamworth Regional Council have also thrown their support behind us as well which is great, and of course our Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson who has so generously donated his time and talents as a part of Splashpool.
“Overall it is shaping up to be a great night and we hope to see everyone there.”
