Woolworths won’t have them from June 20, IGA on June 30 and Coles on July 1; Aldi’s ahead of the game, as it doesn’t offer them anyway.
This means it’s either BYO or buy a resuable one in-store, with each supermarket offering their own spin on eco-friendlier versions.

As for tips on remembering the resuables, Mr Dawson said he was “terrible” at that himself, but thought it would quickly become habit.
A spokeswoman said IGA was also doing food and general waste audits in its NSW stores to “continue to reduce and eliminate plastic”.
Among the resuable offerings will be Coles’ Community Bags, designed by schoolkids; part of the proceeds will go to community groups.
