TCC has taken over the running of the event from Cycling NSW, which launched it last year to encourage more female participation in the sport.
It’s a no-drop, supported bunch ride. No one will be left behind.

The second instalment of the event, to be held on Sunday, will be held in memory of former TCC member Richard Wise, who passed away last year.
It will start at Hopscotch Restaurant & Bar in Tamworth, with the 100-kilometre circuit going through destinations such as Kootingal and Dungowan before finishing in Tamworth.
TCC women’s development officer Pip Ash said the Chicks of Bikes 100 was a great opportunity for riders to prepare for this year’s inaugural Tamworth Cycling Festival. “It’s a no-drop, supported bunch ride,” she said. “No one will be left behind. It caters for women of all abilities.”
She added: “We decided to run it again given the huge success we had last year; given we had a significant increase in members [because of it], particularly female members.”
Ash said Wise was a big supporter of the first Chicks on Bikes 100. “He was the first to get behind and support the event last year,” she said.
It starts at 10.15am.
