A MAGISTRATE has revoked a teenager’s bail after he admitted to an armed robbery during a break-in at an Armidale house.

The 16-year-old was initially granted bail on Friday during an out-of-sessions bail hearing in Armidale Children’s Court, following his arrest by Armidale detectives the day before.
He was ordered to front the same court on Monday charged with the March 25 robbery in Golgotha Street.
On Monday, the teen pleaded guilty to two offences, admitting to breaking into the property and robbing the woman, aged in her twenties, in the home while armed with a knife.
Magistrate Michael Holmes said the serious incident warranted detention and revoked the boy’s bail, ordering him to start serving his sentence.
The teen will be sentenced later this month.
Detectives are still appealing for help to find the teen’s two accomplices and have appealed for public help.
Police said the trio broke in through a window and threatened the resident with knife. They then robbed the woman of a phone and other goods.
The offenders were dressed in dark clothing at the time and fled the property shortly after.
