Clear conditions greeted the players on the outdoor courts and the 2.20pm timeslot was one of the best times to play at with the temperature peaking at just under 22 degrees around that time.
Teams from a number of different divisions took to the court at 2.20pm with Open B, 17/18 years, 14/16B and 13/14A matches being played.
The Northern Daily Leader was down at the courts at that time to capture some action from the 2.20pm games.
