Before arriving at the Quality Hotel Powerhouse, the team requested they have a table tennis table, which gave General Manager Ben Davies an idea.
“We didn’t have one, so we purchased one with the help of the local Sportspower,” he said.
“Before the Knights left we got them all to sign it, and now we are donating it to Ronald McDonald House.”
“If it helps someone that is great, and the Knights were really good, and very much up for it.”
Mr Davies also got a sticker made up of the game, date and Knights winning scoreline, that will be stuck on the unique piece of memorabilia.

This year Tamworth’s Ronald McDonald House will be celebrating its tenth birthday, and hosting a charity ball to commemorate.
Ronald McDonald House spokesperson Debby Herdegen said the Knights table tennis table has become the first item that will go up for grabs in the charity auction at the ball.
“A few of the players and former players like Mark Hughes and Kurt Gidley came up and visited some of the children while they were here, which was great – they even gave a Moree family tickets to see their first ever live NRL game,” she said.
“You could tell from the crowd at the game that there are obviously a lot of Knights fans in Tamworth, so hopefully it raises something at the ball because it all helps.”
Ronald McDonald House will not only host a ball at Wests Leagues Club, but are also hosting a Community Open Day on September 8 to commemorate ten years of helping regional families when they need it most.
However the celebrations already kicked off last weekend.
“Last weekend we held a Tradies Thank You Day, to thank all those people that donated their time and built the House in one weekend,” Ms Herdegen said.
“It was very informal and nice, we put a bbq on and had some beers in the backyard with them.”
