The Great Nundle Dog Race should be in full-flight on Sunday, weather-permitting, as the primary school’s P&C looks to fill the coffers for student excursions.
Principal Stephen Gadd said the field trips were expensive but gave students a unique experience.

“Where we are, excursions tend to cost a bit more, we’re pretty fortunate to have [the P&C] to help us out and to help the kids out to get some unique opportunities,” he said.
“It breaks down that barrier of being a little bit isolated.”
While the skies were looking grey, rain on the pooch-parade would be welcome relief.
“It has been postponed in the past,” he said.
“We desperately need the rain, so I think people would be dancing in the rain.”
Mr Gadd said the community was banding together during the current dry-spell.
“It’s a battle, I think, at the moment,” he said.
“In these kinds of times the small communities tend to band around each other and they tend to support each other.
“It doesn’t bring rain but it does mean there is someone to turn to and talk to.”
You could pick up an actual pup with your Dagwood Dog at the canteen too.
Teacher Nicola Worley will be in the tuck-shop on Sunday and she has five black labrador retriever puppies looking for a home.
Ms Worley brought some of the pups into school on Friday.
