Two players – Libby Magann and Morgan Rowbottom – have been named in the women’s A side while the rest of the players have been named in the women' B and men’s B sides.
The participation of the B sides in the championships is contingent on Australian Country Water Polo giving approval for that.
Magann, the Tamworth Water Polo secretary, believes that will happen, as the national body has allowed four NSW sides to compete at the championships in recent years because of the state’s strength in the sport.
It is 10th time Magann has made the NSW Country team.
The Tamworth players selected in the women’s B team are Giaan White, Kate Farquhar and Nelli Jackson while the men’s B team selections are Jake Mitchell, Lachie Wheeler, Laarn White and Mitch Salter.
Magann said the B teams were more developmental squad.
She said: “It’s awesome representation for Tamworth, especially the boys. Because the boys haven’t traditionally had a lot of players in a team.”
