A great crowd gathered for the Strong Man event on Sunday, down the eastern end of Peel Street.

The event, which has gained notoriety in recent years, attracted a large group of competitors lifting and moving some very heavy weights.
Lifts included log press, deadlift, Atlas stones and truck pull and the competitors did not disappoint. Despite the sweltering heat, competitors were able to show their strength to the onlookers and judges.
This year the competition has moved to the other end of Peel Street out the front of Zomberos Mexican food, from its old position out the front of the Hogs Breath Cafe.
The Festival so far has been full of excitement including the Cowboy Up rodeo and bronc ride at AELEC, the Live and Local concert at the Town Hall and all the fun happening downtown Peel Street.
