A TEENAGER has been charged after allegedly attacking a man during an attempted robbery in Tamworth.

Leon Prince, 18, is facing a charge of aggravated assault with intent to rob and inflict actual bodily harm causing wounding.
Police claim he confronted a 22-year-old man who was walking home along Tingira Street about 8am on January 3.
Prince allegedly demanded money and picked up a beer bottle on the ground before chasing the victim who tried to flee.
Police said the man fell, and Prince allegedly jumped on his back and slashed him in the back with the bottle, demanding money.
Witnesses saw the incident and the accused fled. The man suffered abrasions and bruising to his back as well as other minor injuries.
Police were alerted and following investigations, Prince was arrested at a Woodward Avenue property on January 5 and charged.
He was refused bail.
