This Christmas, Tamworth residents have a chance to help women in need, by participating in Share the Dignity’s ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign.
All Bunnings stores nationally will be drop-off points for this Christmas collection drive, which provides a simple yet meaningful way to donate essential items to women who are doing it tough, experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or poverty.
From Saturday, November 18, to Saturday, December 2, locals are encouraged to support the cause by heading down to Bunnings Tamworth, to drop off a handbag filled with items that could make a big difference to someone in need.
Useful items can include essential sanitary staples and personal care products, as well as something a bit more special, like a Christmas card or small note of support.
Share the Dignity Founder Rochelle Courtenay is excited for the campaign to kick off.
“I’m looking forward to seeing local communities come together to bring dignity and support to over 85,000 women across the country who are in need,” she said.
To get involved and help share the dignity this Christmas, visit Bunnings Tamworth to drop off your handbag and help a woman in need.
