Matt Brady has capped off a great return to rugby league by being named Gunnedah’s player of the year – soon after landing the award for Group 4.

The five-eighth, back in the game last season after a two-year break, also won the best back for first grade and the club’s highest points awards.
After advancing the preliminary final in 2017, Brady is confident the Bulldogs won’t lose too many players in the off-season.
“Hopefully we’ll get a couple more forwards there – just so we’ve got more depth in our forward pack,” he said.
Brady added: “I’ve got the feeling talking to all the boys that they all really enjoyed their footy this year. I know I did.
“We enjoyed each others’ company and playing together.
“I’d definitely say a fair few of the boys will be back.”
