The Tamworth Orchid Society will hold its Spring display at Tamworth Shopping World, near Big W, from 9am to 9pm on Thursday and Friday, and open until 1pm on Saturday.
Orchids that flourish in the Tamworth conditions will be on display, such as cattleyas, dendorbiums, soft cane, cymbidiums and Australian natives.
Orchid society member Cheryl Harris said the group would also hold a demonstration about how to care for orchids and make them thrive in local conditions at Bunnings on Saturday, October 28. “For those interested in growing orchids or joining the Orchid Society there will be members on hand to assist you,” Ms Harris said.
