Walcha Together president Chris Page said the money was intended for use in the Walcha Pioneer Cottage.
“Our group endeavours to support local business and tourism and the Walcha Pioneer Cottage Museum is a great tourism asset for our town,” he said.
Walcha Historical Society president Kate Hoy said the money was very welcome.
“We would like to thank Walcha Together for their generosity and we are very appreciative of the financial help as funds are short.”
If anybody would like to make a donation we are more than happy to accept as there really is a tremendous amount of work to be done.
