As part of Reconciliation Week celebrations, staff and students at the Tamworth TAFE campus enjoyed a barbecue lunch.
The event was replicated across campuses in the New England area.
TAFE NSW Regional General Manager Kate Baxter said she was extremely proud the organisation continues to support the needs of its Aboriginal students, staff and local communities.
“TAFE in western NSW has the highest ratio of Aboriginal students in the state, so it’s absolutely vital we continue to work closely with local Aboriginal communities to come up with the most successful ways to deliver training that’s suited to Aboriginal learners,” she said.
