Club treasurer Peter Walton said the three-day rally consisted of two short runs – one on Friday to Limbri and one on Sunday to Chaffey Dam, and a long ride on Saturday to Somerton and Manilla and a presentation dinner.
Mr Walton said attendees enjoyed the runs each day around the region, which included visiting the Manilla Heritage Museum, where the volunteers provided lunch to the 100 riders.
Riders travelled from as far away as Wagga Wagga, Canberra, Sydney, Gosford, Newcastle and Singleton, as well as from around the region for the Tamworth Classic, Vintage and Veteran Motorcycle Rally with all bikes pre-dating 1980.
Mr Walton said there was plenty to love about older bikes.
“It’s the sound of them – the old bikes have a definite and different sound to the modern bikes,” he said.
“It’s also about the fellowship and friendship of those who restore old bikes.”

The presentation dinner on Saturday night saw 105 people cheering on those who won trophies in categories such as Hard Luck Story, Best Lady Rider, Oldest Rider and different year models of bikes.
The bike section of the club has about 20 members in Tamworth and they hold the rally annually.
“Most of the people who come to our rally have their own rallies and we go there, as well,” Mr Walton said.
