AUSTRALIA'S richest mountain biking series, the Evocities MTB Series, will descend on the newly-opened Wylde MTB Park in Cecil Park in Western Sydney on Sunday.

The Wylde Western Sydney seven hour is the second race of the series following the highly successful Ginja Ninja held at Orange in February this year.
Dubbo mayor Mathew Dickerson said he was looking forward to experiencing the newly-built track in Western Sydney.
"The Wylde MTB Park is purpose-built to international standards, it's a fantastic facility that truly offers something for everyone," he said.
"Competitors will be using the 12km loop for this race which is fast, flowing, with plenty of fun and interesting features along the way, but no massive climbs, so it's the perfect race venue," Cr Dickerson said.
"The forecast for Western Sydney is looking fantastic for Sunday's leg of the Evocities MTB series as well.
"We hope to have over 300 competitors in the two races on Sunday (a four-hour and a seven-hour with solos and teams competing) and it will be great to be able to represent Dubbo in an area that is the target market for Evocities," Cr Dickerson said.
Over $80,000 in prize money is available throughout the seven race Evocities MTB Series and the variety of races means the series winners can legitimately claim to be Australia's best marathon MTB riders.
"By racing this series you'll enjoy some fantastic singletrack in some great regional locations, and could be in the running for a slice of this prize money too.
"For example, at this event, the 7hr male and female solo riders will be awarded $1000 for first prize," Cr Dickerson said.
"More than $80,000 in prize money is on offer with the support of Evocities MTB Series' major sponsor Fairfax Media and category sponsors Sydney University School of Rural Health; QantasLink; Fly Orana; NAB; Maas Group Properties; Hogs Breath Cafe and media partner Prime 7," he said.
