TAMWORTH motorcyclists are being urged to support a couple of upcoming runs – one being a fundraiser for St Vincent de Paul.

The first run will commemorate Anzac Day, on Friday, and will leave from Rex Motors, on the corner of Robert St and Werris Creek Rd, at 11am.
The first stop will be the White Skull tattoo parlour in Manilla’s main street for a barbecue, before riders head to Somerton for speeches and a rendition of The Last Post.
Run organiser Troy Windle was chatting to his ex-army mate Mick Billington one day when they hatched the idea for the Anzac Day run.
“Mick and I went for a ride out to Somerton – he’s ex-army and very patrotic,” Mr Windle said.
They talked about commemorating Anzac Day in some fashion.
“And I said ‘Why don’t we turn it into a run for everybody?’” Mr Windle said.
“It’s just a way of bringing the motorcycling community of Tamworth together.”
The second run is happening on May 10.
People are asked to bring donations when they meet outside the St Vincent de Paul shop on Werris Creek Rd at 11am.
“Any old winter clothing they might have, or they can make a cash donation, or bring packets of soup or biscuits – anything like that,” Mr Windle said.
The ride will be heading to Aberdeen in the Hunter Valley.
