Over 500 merrymakers joined the hugely popular Santa Crawl last Friday night, raising the roof and over $10,000 in funds for children’s charities.
Participants made their way to six pubs and clubs during the evening, providing those in the Tamworth CBD with a good laugh as the evening wore on.
Organiser Chris Watson described the night as a “roaring success” and thanked the many who dressed up in their best impression of the jolly St Nick.
“We had some amazing outfits out there, it was great to see everyone get into the spirit of things,” Mr Watson said.
The annual fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Tamworth First Light is in its eighth year and Mr Watson said although he was exhausted, he was already looking forward to the next one.
“We’ll be back with a vengeance next year – it’ll be bigger and better.”
