TREC will explode with colour and excitement tomorrow evening when the biggest-ever public education performance in the Tamworth district will take place and the organisers think the cast of 2500 is ready for action.
Yesterday the primary school dancers from throughout the city came together for the first rehearsal at TREC and organisers admitted it was a real goosebump moment.
"It is coming together beautifully. It should be fabulous," CAPERS producer Eric Patatoukos said.
Teachers from throughout the Tamworth district were taught the steps a few months ago and they then passed these on to their students. However, it wasn't until yesterday that the 1000 primary school students from individual schools throughout the city were able to join together for the performance.
Mass rehearsals for Tamworth-based students involved in the band and the choir also took place at Tamworth High and Tamworth South Public schools yesterday.
Students from non-Tamworth schools will join the performers for more rehearsals today.
"All we need now is to add the talent of our local students and we will have a show that will be unforgettable," CAPERS director Di Hall said.
CAPERS will explode at the TREC at 7.30pm tomorrow and again on Thursday. Refreshment will be available at TREC on both nights.
