Officers from Oxley Police District formed Operation Southbreak to investigate property crime in the Tamworth area in February 2018.
About 4pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 April 2018), general duties and target action group police executed a search warrant at a property in Craigends Lane.
Officers seized several items suspected of being stolen, cannabis plants, and a firearm.
A man, a woman and three teenagers were arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, five counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception, possess unregistered firearm, and possess unauthorised firearm. He was refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Wednesday 11 April 2018).
A 53-year-old man was charged with dishonestly obtain benefit by deception. He was granted bail to appear before Tamworth Local Court on Monday 7 May 2018.
A 24-year-old woman was charged with cultivate prohibited plant, possess unauthorised firearm, possess unregistered firearm, and not keep firearm safe. She was granted bail to appear before Tamworth Local Court on Monday 7 May 2018.
A 14-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent whilst armed, and armed with intent to commit indictable offence. He was granted bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday 22 May 2018.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter steal, aggravated break and enter with intent whilst armed, possess unauthorised firearm, and possess unregistered firearm. He was granted bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday 22 May 2018.
