Locals took part in raffles and auctions in attempts to take home the bacon as well as raising much needed funds for their community.
The funds from this year’s event will go towards Every Gunnedah Child and will help bring the Royal Far West health bus to town.
Apex Club of Gunnedah media officer Aylish Flannery told The Namoi Valley Independent it was pleasing to see so many people attend the annual fundraising event.
“We didn’t have a fundraising goal, our goal as a club was to have as many members of the community involved as possible,” Ms Flannery said.
“To see so many families and kids here is great, overall we are really stoked with the turnout.”
Ms Flannery said the club is open to supporting any future community programs or goals.
“While this year most of our funds are aimed at supporting Every Gunnedah Child and their campaign to bring the Royal Far West bus to Gunnedah and getting a local dog park off the ground, we are always willing to help with any future community projects,” she said.
“We are a community group and always willing to help, but to get some feedback on things the community needs is very important to us so we can help as best we can.”

The longtime member said the club is always welcoming of new members.
“Apex is a very family orientated club,” Ms Flannery said.
“Our members often bring their kids and whole families to our regular meetings.
“It’s a very family friendly environment and we are always keen for new members to come and join us.”
