On April 20, Newcastle coach Nathan Brown and a host of players will feature on a panel covering a range of issues, including leadership and how to build a culture of performance and success.
Hosted by Tamworth Business Chamber, with the support of NSW Mining, the event will raise money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Chamber president Jye Segboer said when it came to leadership and teamwork, there was a of crossover in the worlds of sport and business.
“When you’re in your business day-in and day-out, forget the outside world, and sport and business have a lot of similarities in the sense of leadership and cooperation,” he said.
“A lot of the challenges professional athletes face go hand-in-hand with those businesses face.
”We want to leverage the experience and expertise of these guys. If you look at some of the biggest motivational speakers in the world, most of them have some level of sport in their background.
“Whether you are a rugby league fan or not, this event will provide a chance to get up and personal with elite athletes and learn about leadership, teamwork and fostering a culture of success.”
