The Dualis left the roadway, about 7km out of town, and crashed down a steep embankment.
It was a difficult rescue operation to get to the woman, after the car landed in a gully, several metres from the roadway.
The 47-year-old was treated for injuries to her shoulder, neck and abdomen, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said
She was taken to Tamworth hospital via ambulance in a stable condition.
The car had to be towed from the scene.
