At 5.30am this morning, one of two northbound lanes of the highway closed at Rimbanda Road for salvage of a truck that had rolled onto its side along, south of Kentucky.
Police have defected the truck.
Live Traffic NSW posted its latest update at 3.25pm today.
Traffic is affected in both directions, with alternating stop/slow conditions in place.
EARLIER: ONE of two lanes on the New England Highway remains closed after a truck rollover early this morning.
At 5.30am this morning, one of two northbound lanes of the highway closed at Rimbanda Road for salvage of a truck that had rolled onto its side along, south of Kentucky.
Emergency services and Roads and Maritime Services attended the incident.
Motorists are being advised to exercise caution and reduce their speed limit to 60km/h.
Three hours later, at about 8.30am, Live Traffic NSW issued a warning to drivers.
“There will be short, intermittent closures of the highway during the day while the truck salvage takes place,” a Live Traffic NSW Twitter post read.
The latest update was reissued at 10.20am this morning, advising motorists to expect delays throughout the day as the clean-up continues.
