The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) has declared a ban in the North Western and Northern Slopes regions due to forecast hot and windy conditions.
The fire danger rating is listed as severe in the Northern Slopes taking in the Gunnedah, Gwydir, Inverell, Liverpool Plains, Tamworth Regional council areas.
The RFS has declared severe conditions in the North Western regions, which takes in the Moree Plains, Narrabri, Walgett, Warrumbungle shires.
No fires may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended during a total fire ban.
Gas and electric barbeques may be used provided certain conditions are met.
