Police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Browns Ln and Moore Creek rd about 8.40am.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said paramedics were treating a man believed to be in his 40s with a leg injury.
Tamworth Police have confirmed crash investigators were called to the scene and the intersection is expected to be closed for some time.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
