The 2017 Queen of Country Music Contestants were sashed at a special ceremony at Toyota Park.
It is the first time the ceremony has been held on the main stage - it was previously held at Fanzone.
For the first year, the competition is owned by the Tamworth Zonta Club who over the last three months have been busy preparing the group of women for the competition.
This includes public speaking and media relations lessons, etiquette and personal presentation tips.
The Northern Daily Leader is a sponsor of the event and the contenders have been assisting staff in delivering our daily festival editions to the city's camp grounds, from caravans to even swags.
It all leads to judging next week where the Queen, Princess and Miss Congeniality will be crowned at a Gala dinner on Sunday, January 29.
