Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said the grant would enable TRC to consider offering subsidies on products such as car, pool or washing line covers and cleaning services. TRC will consider a draft plan at its next meeting looking at encouraging the flying-foxes to camp on the western side of the Peel River.
“It is believed that by encouraging the flying foxes into the camp opposite Bicentennial Park, they will be protected by the water on both sides of the camps and should be more settled,” regulatory services manager Ross Briggs said.
