TROY Cassar-Daley is sharpening his carpentry skills to build a new display cabinet after taking home four more Golden Guitars at the 41st CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia.
The Queensland artist was a finalist in seven categories and won Single of the Year, APRA Song of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, which brings his total to 25 Golden Guitars.
This win places him as the third highest winner of Golden Guitars behind Lee Kernaghan who is on 29 and Slim Dusty who won 37 in his career, and means Troy has relegated John Williamson to fourth place, with 24 Golden Guitars to his name.
Catherine Britt was also a finalist in seven categories and took out the Female Artist of the Year award.
West Australian artist, Chelsea Basham, was also laughing all the way to the podium, winning Telstra New Talent of the Year with Laugh It Off.
With three out of the five finalist positions in Video Clip of the Year, Duncan Toombs was a fair certainty to win the director's award for the category, which he won with The McClymonts' clip for Piece Of Me.
The McClymonts also took home Sanity Top Selling Album of the Year for Two Worlds Collide.
Country music's golden couple, Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson can add a new Golden Guitar to their large combined collection after winning Vocal Group or Duo of the Year for Adam and Eve off their album Wreck and Ruin.
Although he didn't believe he was going to win it, Pete Denahy was a deserved winner of the Instrumental of the Year category for Yackandandah 1852, a tribute to his beloved hometown.
Tamara Stewart began her Golden Guitar collection, winning Vocal Collaboration of the Year with Sara Storer and Felicity Urquhart for Women in Song.
This song was used as a special tribute event to female country singers during the awards concert and involved many of today's top country females.
Also starting his collection was Luke O'Shea who was a most grateful recipient of the Heritage Song of the Year for the beautiful The Drover's Wife, written by Luke and Peter Gabrielides.
It was 12th time lucky for Graham Rodger who won his first Golden Guitar for Bush Ballad of the Year for Looking Back.
The first two winners of the new categories of Top Selling International Album of the Year and Alternative Country Album of the Year were US artist Carrie Underwood with Blown Away and Big Days and
